Church Building and Facilities

PROPERTIES
The Parish has worked hard over the years to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the parish to worship. The main body of the church features vaulted wooden ceilings with an additional chapel on the north side and a smaller side addition on the south side.Due to its age the parish works hard to refurbish and maintain the building. In the recent past the renovations have included a new boiler for the church which has cut energy costs, new windows in the basement and a new front door to the main entrance. In the summer of 2016 a new peeked shingled roof and flat roof were replacement over the Family Giving Centre(formerly the Education Centre). Replacement of the door to the Family Giving Centre are soon to be updated also increasing energy efficiency and lower fuel costs. There are many more plans in the near future for updating our worship and gather spaces.

Both office facilities for the incumbent and parish administrator have been updated in the last three years.

In 2013 the former L C Irwin Education Centre was renamed St. Thomas' Family Giving Centre. This allowed the parish to take on the mission of expanding the community food cupboard to include free clothing rooms, household goods and and other services which fulfill “Helping Those In Need”.

In rooms off of Haddon Hall(in the basement) there is a recently refurbished nursery, youth media and meeting room, a Sunday school supply room, choir room and large kitchen with restaurant styled appliances.
